Excavate to engineer's spec depth. Formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete pour. Allow for rock if encountered (Roseville ridge). Inspections: footing before pour.

Slab on ground with mesh reinforcing. Plumbing rough-in and piers set before pour. Inspect: pre-slab. Cure minimum 7 days before loading.

Reinforced concrete walls on three sides (cut faces). Engineer-designed. Formwork, reo, pour. Minimum 200mm thick. Control joints per engineer.

Floor slab: 150mm reinforced on compacted base. Roof slab: 200mm+ reinforced (must support lawn/garden above). Falls to drainage. Cure before backfill.

Ramp from street level to garage entry. Max 1:5 gradient. Non-slip surface. Drainage grate at base. Auto garage door. Retaining walls either side of ramp.

MILESTONE: Now tracked via 6 sub-tasks (excavation, retaining walls, slabs, waterproofing, services, ramp). Check sub-tasks for progress.

Handrail must comply with BCA: 865-1000mm height, graspable profile, no climbable elements. Material per design selection. Fix to staircase structure with chemical anchors. Include intermediate posts if required.

Steel fixer to install reo per structural engineer schedule. Starter bars projecting up for wall connection. Formwork for footing pour. Inspect: reo coverage, bar sizes, spacing, laps, chair heights. Engineer inspection before pour.

Concrete pump or direct pour depending on access. Vibrate to remove air pockets. Level top to formwork. Cure minimum 7 days before wall construction begins. Protect from rain during cure.

Main construction phase. Method per structural engineer design: formwork and poured concrete, or concrete block with core-filled reo. Wall face finish: exposed aggregate, rendered, or stone-faced cladding per design selection. Control joints per engineer spec.

Formwork for each tread (riser 150-190mm, going 250-300mm per BCA). Landing every 18 risers. Reinforcing per engineer. Non-slip broom finish or exposed aggregate. Edge nosings. Cure before removing forms.
